Historic Courthouse

    interior renovations

Previous   Next

We had the opportunity to execute a wonderful restoration project at the Washington County Superior Court House in Montpelier.  We began by removing the details of a 1970’s renovation that included dropped ceilings, wall papered walls, and  inappropriate wood moldings.  A few hours into demolition we had the good fortune of finding a beautiful arched opening that was a pleasant surprise to the owners.
We installed new wallboard throughout the space, updated the electrical system, installed a tin ceiling that closely resembled the original tin ceiling we had found concealed above the dropped ceiling, but sadly beyond repair. We also fabricated and installed precise door casings and chair rail to match the existing molding profiles.
